Introducing RRHS
DATE: October 7, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
INTRODUCING RURAL ROADS HEALTH SERVICES
Ingersoll, Tillsonburg, ON – As has been previously communicated, on December 20, 2024, the Boards of Directors of Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll (AHI) and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital (TDMH) received support from the Ministry of Health (MOH), regarding the proposal for full integration under the new name of Rural Roads Health Services, with each site maintaining its individual name. The benefits and commitments of this integration have been shared throughout our journey and remain true. The proposed full integration date is April 1, 2026.At the June 2025 Board Meeting and Annual Members Meetings, the Boards approved coming together under a Common Board as well as a Common Brand Policy – outlining the use of Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) to represent the integrated entity. The visual identity (i.e., logo, branding, etc.) for RRHS was developed in partnership with the Oxford County Communications team; in a process that engaged several team members. We invite you to read our brand story, (see sidebar right) articulating the meaning behind the design and colours. During the week of August 5th, activities were held internally with our team members to launch our new brand. It was an exciting time for all of us.
You will notice that we have transitioned from two separate websites to one unified website found at https://www.ruralroadshealthservices.ca/ – representing both sites and will be updating all social media sites as well. We hope you will “follow us” on LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram at RRHS.
Over the coming months, we will implement new templates for memos and written communication materials using our new brand. You will also start to receive correspondence from our new email addresses (@rrhs.ca) as our email transition happens. I encourage you to update your address book accordingly when you see this change in emails from our leaders and team members.
Eventually our external signage will also be branded with RRHS while retaining the AHI and TDMH site specific identity. In the meanwhile, we have placed pop up banners at our main entrances to share our new branding with the people we are honoured to serve.
Where we are today represents an evolution of many years of strong partnership and intentional planning and engagement with team members, patients, partners, volunteers, and the community. Through this, we are strengthening the sustainability of rural small community hospitals in the ever-changing health care landscape.
Thank you for your support throughout this journey,
Nadia
